BIO
Elisa Cabana holds a PhD in Mathematical Engineering, specializing in Statistics, from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She is accredited by ANECA as a Postdoctoral Assistant Professor and has taught Statistics in different Engineering degrees.
Elisa has published articles in JCR-ranked journals on various topics: outlier detection, machine learning to estimate the evolution of epidemics, data ownership, etc. She has participated in numerous national and international conferences, and contributed as a reviewer of scientific articles and State Research Agency (AEI) projects and as a member of FDP panels. She has also participated in several national and Horizon Europe research projects.
She collaborates with various institutions such as the UC3M-Santander Big Data Institute in Madrid, the CoronaSurveys project and the Biostatnet National Biostatistics Network.
Before joining CUNEF, Elisa spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher at the IMDEA Networks Institute, in the Data Transparency Group.
