CUNEF Universidad hosts CodeChella, an international workshop attended by more than 110 researchers

31 May 2024

In the last week of May, CUNEF Universidad hosted the 1st edition of CodeChella, an international workshop on cutting-edge causal analysis methods and applications attended by over 110 researchers, students and professionals from across the world. During the four-day workshop, the University hosted lectures, interactive seminars and in-depth discussions on topics related to causal inference.

CodeChella opted for the ‘Mixtape Sessions’, a dynamic format promoted by Scott Cunningham, Professor of Economics at Baylor University, who also participated as a speaker. This is the first time that these sessions have been held in Europe. The different workshops delved into issues such as statistical modelling, data-driven decision-making and the practical implications of causal inference.

The workshop also featured lectures by Mark Anderson, Professor of Economics at Montana State University, Daniel Rees, professor of the Department of Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and Kyle Butts, University of Colorado.
