March 14, 2025
More than 80 students participated in the first edition of CUNEF Universidad’s “Impact Days”, held on 11, 13 and 14 March in collaboration with the Sustainability Club, the Investment Club, and the Entrepreneurship Club. The conference, which included a series of lectures and a film forum, focused on impact investing as a driver of social change and analysed several business models that combine financial growth with social and environmental well-being. During their lectures, the speakers focused on the value of purpose in companies and institutions, as well as on the importance of aligning corporate profitability with social sustainability and well-being.
The “Impact Days” featured lectures by David Huete Maestre, CCO of Zunder, a company that is currently expanding a network of ultra-fast charging stations with 100% renewable energy for electric vehicles, and Adolfo López Aguayo, CEO of RMD León, a tyre recycling company. Their participation offered valuable insights, allowing students to learn first-hand about their experience and business strategy, aimed at creating a positive impact.
The film forum organised as part of the event included the screening of a documentary and a discussion aimed at the students and moderated by Dante Leyva, Professor of the Department of Business Management of CUNEF Universidad, and María Montes-Sancho, Professor at Universidad Carlos III and President of the Business and Society division at ACEDE, the Spanish Academy of Management.
