Professor Ahumada is a member of the Department of Quantitative Methods at CUNEF Universidad. Before joining CUNEF, he was an Adjunct Professor at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. 

He earned his PhD at UNAM in 2024 with the thesis “Actions on Spaces with Bounded Curvature”, which introduces symmetry in metric spaces with a synthetic notion of curvature. He was a Visiting Researcher at Durham University and at the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie. His research focuses on metric and Riemannian geometry, and his contributions have been published in Differential Geometry and its Applications.
