Associate Professor of Economic History and Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law since July 2021. PhD from the Complutense University of Madrid, visiting professor at Kyoto University and Università Luigi Bocconi, and visiting researcher at the Universities of Reading (UK), York (UK), and Jinan (China). She has two recognized six-year research periods (sexenios). Her research—twice awarded by the Spanish Association of Economic History (AEHE)—focuses on the long-term effects of foreign direct investment on host economies, firm internationalization, and the origins of science policy in Spain. She currently serves as President of the European Business History Association (EBHA) and is co-editor of the journal Business History (JCR, Q1). She leads a project on the determinants of technological change in Spain (PID2021-128653NB-I00) and coordinates a working group on long-term entrepreneurship within the European project EM4FIT (https://em4fit.sdu.dk/).
