BIO
Luis Bauluz is an Assistant Professor (on tenure track) in the Economics Department at CUNEF Universidad. He received a PhD in Economics from the Paris School of Economics in 2018, under the supervision of Thomas Piketty. He is Wealth Aggregates Coordinator at the World Inequality Database. Before joining CUNEF as an Assistant Professor, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the MacroFinance & MacroHistory Lab of the University of Bonn. He has also held visiting research positions at the European University Institute (Sept 2015-June 2016) and UC Berkeley (Jan 2022-June 2022). His research, which focuses on income and wealth inequality, lies at the intersection of Economic History and Household Finance, and has been published in international journals such as The Economic Journal.
