BIO
Laureano González Vega has a PhD in Mathematics (1989) and he is a Full Professor of Algebra (2002). He has published multiple scientific articles, supervised eleven doctoral theses and participated as lead researcher in national and European research projects. He has gained recognition for six sexenios and one six-year knowledge transfer and innovation period.
He is the co-founder of the EACA congress series (on Computational Algebra and its Applications) and the editor of the Column on Computational Mathematics published in the Journal of the Royal Spanish Mathematical Society.
He is also an expert in University Quality Assessment, and as such, has held the role of Deputy Director for the Evaluation of Programmes and Institutions at ANECA (the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation in Higher Education) and worked with agencies such as ACSUG, AQU, UNIBASQ, AQUIB, AVAP ACSUCyL and madri+d.
