Biography
Manuel Lainz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at CUNEF Universidad. His interests lie in mathematical physics and geometric mechanics, particularly contact Hamiltonian systems, multisymplectic geometry, and field theory. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the UAM and was previously a postdoctoral researcher at ICMAT. His work covers contact dynamics, friction, thermodynamics, and optimal control, with publications in international journals on mathematical physics and dynamical systems. He is an active member of the GMC Network (Geometry, Mechanics and Control Network).
