She started her professional career as a Forestry Engineer. A year later she joined the division of consultancy of Arthur Andersen (Accenture), where for 17 years she dedicated herself to the consulting in the Public Administration sector. In addition to leading consultancy projects, she became Director of Finance and Operations of the Government Division for Europe, Africa, Canada, and Latin America.

She was also responsible for the global implementation of the Accenture Quality System for obtaining the ISO 9000/2000 Certification for Spain and for the Division of Government worldwide.

In 2004, after completing the IESE Executive Development Program, she joined the Pozuelo de Alarcón City Council as General Director of New Technologies and Citizen Services.

For 14 years she has been a professor of Management Competences at CUNEF, teaching core subjects aimed at preparing students for management and corporate governance tasks.
