BIO
Professor Naveiro holds a BSc in Physics from Universidad de Salamanca, an MSc in Theoretical Physics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), and a PhD in Statistics from UCM and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). His thesis received the "Best Thesis in Basic AI Research" award from CSIC.
Currently, he serves as a tenure-track professor at CUNEF Universidad. His research interests revolve around probabilistic machine learning, Bayesian statistics, and decision theory, with a specific focus on their applications in the domains of drug discovery and materials design, among others. He has published more than ten articles in international journals, participated in more than five national and European research projects, and been principal investigator in four industrial projects. He has been a visitor at Duke University and the Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute (Durham, North Carolina, USA). A full list of his publications is available at
