BIO
Ján Palguta is an Assistant Professor of Economics (on tenure-track) at CUNEF. He completed his PhD in Economics and Econometrics at CERGE-EI, in Prague. Previously, he also worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) and as a researcher at the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden. His research focuses on public economics, political economy and public policy evaluation, particularly on business taxation and public procurement. His publications include articles in the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, European Economic Review, Journal of Population Economics and Journal of Comparative Economics. In the past, he taught Public Economics and Applied Economics. At CUNEF, he teaches Microeconomics. He has a six-year research period recognized by ANECA.
