BIO
Professor Pérez Macías has a PhD in Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he teaches Public International Law, and is Deputy Director of the online Master in Fundamental Rights of the “Gregorio Peces Barba” Human Rights Institute, Academic Coordinator of the Expert Degree in Indigenous Peoples, Human Rights and International Cooperation, and Researcher in the department of Sustainability, Social Inclusion, Diversity and Human Rights. He is currently the Academic Secretary of the Department of Public International Law, Ecclesiastical Law and Philosophy of Law. He was an advisor to the High Commissioner for Support for Victims of Terrorism (Ministry of the Presidency) and the General Directorate for Support for Victims of Terrorism of the Spanish Ministry of the Interior. He collaborates with various victims of terrorism foundations and associations and is an honorary member of the Andalusian Association of Victims of Terrorism. He is also a practicing lawyer.
