BIO

Andrea García de Enterría joined the Corps of Legal Advisors of the Spanish General Courts in 2019. She has over five years of experience giving counsel to various bodies of the Congress of Deputies (the Plenary, the Boureau and the Board of Spokespersons) on issues related to Public Law, as well as to the competent Committee for Energy & Environment issues, and to the one dealing with Gender, Equality and Violence matters.

She has provided legal advisory services to the Central Electoral Board during the 2019 and 2023 local elections in Spain and has published various articles in scientific journals.

Andrea is graduated in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Complutense in Madrid and she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. program in Law, Government and Public Policy at the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid.

Chief Legal Advisor of the Department of Legislative Commissions of the Congress of Deputies, Since October 2023. Legal Advisor to the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge Commission and to the State Pact on Gender Violence Agreements Monitoring and Evaluation Commission, both since 2019

Legal Advisor to European Affairs, associated to the General Management of Studies, Analysis and Publications, from September 2022 to October 2023

Legal Advisor of the Cortes Generales, associated to the General Management of Technical-Parliamentary Assistance in the Chamber (Congress of Deputies), from May 2019 to September 2022. Legal Advisor to the Equality Commission, from May to September 2019 and to the Investigation Commission related to the illegal use of personnel, means and resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, from December 2020 to December 2021.
