Manuel Mellado Cuerno is a member of the Department of Quantitative Methods at CUNEF. He was previously a predoctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics at UAM. His thesis, which focuses on the study of isometric embeddings of metric spaces, was supervised by Professor Luis Guijarro. His research interests include metric geometry, optimal transport, and topological data analysis (from both a theoretical and applied perspective). His contributions have resulted in several preprints, one of which has already been accepted by the Indiana University Mathematics Journal. He has a wide range of collaborators (both national and international) in the field of mathematics, as well as in other areas such as aerospace engineering, economics, or sociology, leveraging interdisciplinary factors.
