BIO
After graduating in Economics and Business from Universidad de Deusto, Professor Velasco held several management positions in Fineco Group, ranging from designing Information Systems to leading the Quality and Internal Control Department. He has a Master in Information Systems Management from Loyola University (Chicago), worked as an Assistant Teaching Professor at Iowa State University (Management Information Systems Department), and has a PhD from the University of Minnesota (Information and Decision Sciences Department - Carlson School). During the 13 years he spent in the United States, he taught Undergraduate and Master courses such as Statistics, Financial Information Systems, Introduction to Information Systems and Agile Project Management. His research covers two areas: the study of decision support systems (DSS) and decision making from a cognitive point of view. He has published articles in international scientific journals and presented his work at conferences in different countries.
